Huhlet Humor - featuring Jimmy and my mom

Me: Jimmy, what do you want to be when you grow up?
Jimmy: A ninja.
Me: How about for your job, like what you'd do for work?
Jimmy: Fight bad people.

I had forgotten something (see, I can't even remember what it was I had forgotten) and Jimmy reminded me of it.
Me: Jimmy, how are you so smart and good at remembering things?
Jimmy: Because I have a big, big, BIG brain!

During a recent trip to Disneyland, during It's a Small World, we came upon the laughing hyenas.
Jimmy (yells out): Hey! What's so funny??

This is Jimmy's first time on Space Mountain, he covered his ears the whole time.  Afterwards he said, "I NEVER want to do that again!"

During Jimmy's first time at his new elementary school, we walked in through the office to wait for the rest of the group for Kindergarten Roundup.  He seemed nervous and a little anxious.

Jimmy (in a worried voice): Mommy, do they have a playground here?
Me: Oh of course, they have a very nice playground here.
Jimmy: Oh good!  I will have to check that out.  Can I go there now?
Jimmy at the playground in his new school.  He got over feeling nervous very quickly.

Baby Ashley's got BACK
This is Ashley and the entourage that she naps and sleeps with. It's one Pillow Pet, one stuffed lamb, three Hello Kitties of varying sizes, one baby doll and one Elmo.  After I pile all of her friends on, she wants to be covered by not one or two but three blankets.  The best part was that tonight she said I love you back for the first time!  She said "rov yu" in her soft little voice and my heart just melted.

My mom is here!  She's visiting from Shanghai and will be staying with us over the summer.  While she is not a Huhlet, she does have some funny moments - just in the 24 hours she's been here.

I picked her up at LAX yesterday and she was already out of customs waiting for us.  After hugs and kisses, I asked how long she's been waiting.
Mom:  Not long, but something is wrong with your cell phone, I was trying to call you.
Me (looking at my phone): Really?  I didn't get any missed calls, how strange!
Mom:  I called a few times and couldn't get through, your number is (she reads from her phone) 310-892-1083 right?
Me: Uh, no mom - that is YOUR number.  You were trying to call yourself.

I recorded a few movies for my mom to watch so I was trying to describe them to her so that she can choose what she wanted to watch tonight.
Me:  So, do you want to watch a movie about people with super powers (X Men - First Class) or a movie about bank robbers (The Town)?
Mom (without missing a beat): Bank robbers - I don't believe people have super powers.

Jimmy brought home this piece of art work (below) from school.
Mom (in an alarmed voice):  Is this - is this, did Jimmy do this?
Me: Yes he did it in class.
Mom:  Oh, this is not good...
Me: What's wrong with it?
Mom: It is so dark...  It is a reflection of his inner world - we have to be careful!!
Me:  I am sure this is not a reflection of his inner world, let's ask him what it is.
Jimmy (while giggling and spinning around):  It's OUTER SPACE and those are PLANETS!!
