Huhlet Humor - Featuring Jimmy

As most of you know, Jimmy has been obsessed about Star Wars.
Over dinner he says "Excuse me, this piece of corn looks like a tiny little ship from Star Wars - HAHAHAHA!"
While we're driving, we will hear him say from the back seat "Darth Vader is behind us - go into hyper space! Waaahooooo!" (yes we do speed up)

Jimmy has been learning about the human brain in school.  Sometimes when we're talking about something, he will say "Let me think. Hmmm... my brain says YES!"

During a walk to school, we were playing the alphabet game - coming up with things in Star Wars that begin with different letters.  I got stuck on "H" (Jimmy had already taken Han Solo), so I said Let me use my brain... then he lets out a heavy sigh and says "This is going to take FOREVER!"

During another walk to school, I saw sprinklers about to turn on at a house we were going to walk by so I said "We better run Jimmy!"  He saw a runner on the other side of the street and said "Like that guy running?  And he has no pants on!" (he had short running shorts on)

Pete's mom was visiting us and her and Jimmy were laughing about something.  Suddenly, he looked in her mouth and exclaimed "Oh! You got a gold teeth! How did you get that?"

We took Pete's mom and the kids to Disneyland.  At the end of our fun but long day, as we're all staggering to the tram stop, she started saying things in Korean.  Then she looked at me and said  "Oh Amy, when I'm tired, I can't speak English only Korean come out..."

One night, Jimmy was playing in the play room.  All of a sudden I see him RUN to the bathroom yelling "I've got to poop!  Hurry! IT'S OPENING!!"

Huhlet Humor - featuring Ashley

Ever since we came back from Asia earlier this year, Ashley has been addicted to K-Pop (Korean Pop Music).  My dad played some music videos for her while we were visiting them and she now has to watch the videos and hear the songs 20, 30, 40 times a day (which is really awesome for me). 

Her favorite group is the Wonder Girls and her favorite song is "Nobody".  The chorus goes "I want nobody, nobody but YOU!" so when she wants the song, she will point to the iPod, laptop or iPad and say "Ju! Ju!"  

So we ask her to say please and she tilts her head to one side and says "Peeeas?" and if she gets what she wants, she'll say "Da Doo!" (thank you)  If you sneeze, she will also say "Da Doo!" (bless you).

Mother's Day 2012

Thanks to Pete and the Huhlets, I had a lovely Mother's Day Weekend ... 

Sunday started off with flowers, gifts and cards - I especially like the one for "Mom-e"

On Friday there was a Mother's Day celebration at Jimmy's school.  We read stories, sang songs, made crafts and ate snacks.  I even wore a dress for the occasion because Jimmy says "You look like a princess!" whenever I wear a dress.

All the kids drew pictures of their mom and we were told to guess which one is supposed to be our picture.  Jimmy drew the one that he's pointing at - on the back it said "I love my mom because she loves me and because she does what I want."  (NOT TRUE!!)

On Monday, we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific and checked out their new Penguin Habitat.  I couldn't believe they let us pose with the penguins!! (Just kidding, they are not real - but Ashley thinks they are)

Then we went whale watching out of Long Beach.  Thanks Annie for hanging out with us!

We didn't see any whales on this trip but saw a few bottle nose dolphins and two sun fish.

What a wonderful Mother's Day!  I am so blessed to be mommy to Jimmy and Ashley - two amazing, happy and healthy kids.  Most of all, I am grateful to be on this journey of parenthood with my loving husband...
